Hikaru Nakamura (born December 9, 1987) is a Japanese born American Chess Player, Social Media Personality, and YouTuber. He is best known as the first American who achieve the title of Grandmaster at a very young age.
Nakamura becomes the first Japanese-American who won the Chess Olympiad team gold medal and team browns medal for his country in 2016.
The 32-year-old chess master has made a record to win most of the US chess championship (5 times) after Bobby Fischer (8 times), Samuel Reshevsky, and Walter Browne (6 times).
Furthermore, The Chess Player has also achieved the prestigious Tata Steel Chess Tournament in the 2011 edition, in Wizek Aan Zee, Netherlands. After winning the tournament Garry Kasparov called it is the best victory by any American for more than 100 years.
