GloRilla was born on July 28, 1999 (age: 24 years, as of 2023<\/strong>), in the Frayser neighborhood of Memphis, Tennessee. Her birth name is Gloria Hallelujah Woods<\/strong>, and her middle name reflects her religious upbringing. She is the eighth of ten children born to her parents, whose names are not publicly known. She grew up in a Christian household and was only allowed to listen to gospel music as a child. She was homeschooled for a few years before attending Martin Luther King Jr. College Preparatory High School.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gloria Hallelujah Woods has not revealed much about her siblings, but she has posted pictures with some of them on her Instagram account. Breakthrough and Success<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

GloRilla released her first mixtape, Most Likely Up Next, in 2019, and her first EP, P Status, in 2020. However, her breakthrough came in April 2022, when she released the song \u201cF.N.F. (Let\u2019s Go)\u201d with producer Hitkidd. The song went viral on TikTok, where users created a dance challenge with the hashtag #FNFChallenge. The song also received critical acclaim and was nominated for Best Rap Performance at the 65th Annual Grammy Awards. A remix of the song featuring Latto and JT was released in September, followed by another remix with Saweetie.\u00a0The song also led her to be nominated for two awards at the 2022 BET Hip Hop Awards, where she also performed in October.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In July 2022, Gloria Hallelujah Woods signed with fellow Memphis rapper Yo Gotti\u2019s record label Collective Music Group. In September, she released the song \u201cTomorrow 2\u201d featuring Cardi B, which became her first top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100. In February, a stampede at a concert at the Main Street Armory in Rochester, New York resulted in 3 deaths and 7 people injured. The stampede started after audience members thought they heard gunshots while people were leaving the venue. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

She expressed her condolences and prayers for the victims and their families on social media.\u00a0In June, she was selected as one of the 2023 XXL Freshmen Class, along with other rising stars in the rap scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
