<\/figure>\n\n\n\nMaggie grew up in the Severna Park area of Maryland with her parents and her brother Patrick. She started playing the guitar at age 12 and developed an interest in music. She attended Ridgewood High School in New Jersey, where she excelled in academics and extracurricular activities. She was the editor-in-chief of the school newspaper, the captain of the debate team, and the president of the chess club.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She graduated from high school in 2010 and enrolled at Harvard University, where she majored in history and literature. She continued to pursue her musical interests and became a staff writer for The Harvard Crimson, the student newspaper. She also interned at The New York Times, The Washington Post, and CNN during her college years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Career as a Singer<\/h2>\n\n\n\n After graduating from Harvard in 2014 with honors, Maggie Sajak decided to focus on her career as a singer. She released her first single \u201cFirst Kiss\u201d in 2011 under her own label AO Recordings. The song was directed by Trey Fanjoy in Nashville, Tennessee. The music video for \u201cFirst Kiss\u201d was featured on Wheel of Fortune on Maggie\u2019s birthday<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In 2013, Maggie recorded another song called \u201cLive Out Loud\u201d to honor Muriel Walters, a teenage girl from Maryland who was battling cancer. One of her songs was also featured in the season finale of Sweet Home Alabama.
